Leesylvania

I was pleasantly surprised by my trip there yesterday. I fully expected an urban park with limited hiking and an overabundance of day use facilities. I was right in that is how the park is designed. But during a long pleasant chat with a park ranger he indicated that had I been here during the summer, it would have been how I imagined. However, because of the snow and the "winter conditions" I was able to enjoy the park. Some very nice hiking with awesome views of the Potomac.
