hiking

well, it seems as if I have not been spending a lot of time on the unemployment thing lately. I've been moving, and then hiking. I will start with some ranting and raving soon. Just to let everyone know that I visited a memorial for Audie Murphy today on the AT near where he died in a plane crash. More on that later.

I was there, July 2008. Really a quiet and very rural spot on the top of a mountain overlooking a quite beautiful valley. All criss crossed with
what looks like patchwork quilt farms, ranches and spreads. So very pretty, and soooo quiet. Like stepping back in time. When time and
space dictated a rural America. Times were much simpler, and people
were much gentler, and more kind. I always admired Audie. He was and is a Hero of mine. I think if I were God, and I had to bring a special person (Hero) home to heaven, I would choose a place like Brush Mountain to bring him home. That is the perfect spot for a soul to rest in eternity. May he rest in peace and happiness. He so
deserves it.
