too depressing

how do you make homelessness less depressing? I wish there was a way to get feedback so I could hear from some of you.

Dear Homeless Road Warrior,
I wish you were not homeless. I wish you a happy home and a loving family and gainful employment. The kind of job where at least 3 out of 5 days a week, you are excited to get into work. Where what you do is helpful for someone and appreciated by many. Where the atmosphere is relaxed and fellow employees actually have a smile on their face and a spring in their step. A long time ago, in the not to distant past, America used to have places like that. Where a person could go to school and learn a trade. Where he could be taught by a Teacher that actually gave a damn. Where when he graduated there were just enough jobs in his career field that he could hope for employment. Where the wage he was paid was enough to pay for his and his family's essentials. That was back when America was strong, and the prices were fair, and our country was building things that benefited all. Where citizens from other countries were giving up their homeland and their heritage just to be our citizens and a chance at a better way of life. Where they would pass a coppery bronze statue in New York harbor that held a torch in her outstretched arm with a message at the bottom of her feet that said,
"Give me your tired poor huddled masses" etc. Where a dirt poor Texan sharecropper's son could join the Army to do his part to save America and better his family's lot in life. I am sad to say Homeless Road Warrior that those times may never come again. That the road you are now on will not enrich or empower you to a "Better Way of Life" because of the Greed and heartlessness of those that sold our dream for a quick buck. Hell they didn't Sell it, They Gave it away.
You see I am one of the lucky ones who are not Homeless, and Not
Employed. Yet my home is one step away from Foreclosure, and I am one of the countless Seniors on Social Security and Medicare. I live in a land where daily I have to make a choice between buying my food or paying for insurance and copays and medicine, all of which are priced out of reach for me. I have grown children, but they are powerless to help me, like I helped my folks, because they as families are barely able to make it on their own. Yes Homeless Road Warrior it is Too Depressing. America needs Jobs, to get back to the
Strong place where we once were. Where people actually gave a Damn about their fellow citizens, and really tried to "Do the Right Thing" instead of sell our country down the Drain. Just My Thoughts, and sorry they are so depressing.
