Rethinking

What do the regular homeless do? You know, the ones you meet on the street with their hands out. I am headed south because I just don't feel like being cold constantly and I keep seeing 13 and 15 and 11 as the lows for the next few days. At least I have a car and can go into a restaurant and get a bowl of hot soup if I want. And I sleep out of the elements, albeit ice does form on the inside of my windshield at nite.

You have a book in process here, next challenge to get on Oprah!

Ahhh, the NYC homeless! Not all of them but there was one who was always at the corner of 50th and Fifth Ave with his three legged dog lying on a blanket next to his wheel chair. He told stories about the dog's injury to the non-NYC people on the street. I read in a New York Magazine profile of him that he grossed 47K a year. I remember thinking at the time, what the hell am I doing with Corporate America's 70 hour weeks one block away.

Personally, I think I would head for Key West FL, buy a fishing rod and a barbee to cook the fish. However, keep in mind I have never been to Key West.

Think about the Twin Cities after April. I live in a NO DOG building and anyone I have ever lived with for more than a week will have stories about what a "bitch" I am but I could help you get started here
